OxyPLANT

Plant-Based by Design.

Made with polylactic acid derived from non-edible corn starch, OxyPLANT offers a renewable alternative to conventional PVC card base material.

  • Bio-based material sources
  • Lightweight and durable
  • Printing properties similar to PVC
  • Biodegradable base material under specific conditions
Material Details

The base material absorbs CO₂ during cultivation. Its light weight can reduce transport-related environmental impact, while offering durability, life span and mechanical properties similar to standard PVC plastics. Cards can be customised with printing and design features.

Base-material biodegradability was tested under ISO 16929, DIN EN 13432 Annex E and ISO 14855-1. Biodegradation requires specific conditions.
